Sonata for guitar

Following a few works for guitar, I composed my « Sonata » for solo guitar in 1979, at the request of my Italian guitarist friends and publishers.

The sonata form, of which I never tire and which constantly opens up new perspectives for me, serves as the structure for the first movement, “Allegro”, presented here without any arrangement. The second movement, “Dialogo”, is a three-part dialogue for the strings. The third movement is a rondo based on two themes, with each recurrence appearing in a different form. — Ferenc Farkas
